Questions and a weird observation about the volcanoes on Mars? |
I just watched a show on the history channel called "The Universe" about Mars and they showed a large volcano on Mars called Olympus Mons and right by it are three smaller ones in a row evenly spaced. Something about it seemed weird and familar about it. Then I looked at the pyrimids in Egypt on google maps and they seem to go in the same direction and spaced the same. What does eveyone else think about this? Would it be possible to get the core of Mars going again to produce a magnitic field around Mars to protect it from the solar winds of the sun? Also they said that the core of Mars is still active and because of this they have pictures taken a long time ago and compared them to pictures taken in 2005 and it seems that a liquid has flowed out of a spot and left a white trail on the surface of Mars. They made it seem like there was life on Mars. Does anybody think that there may have been life there? Here's a picture of the volcanoes. http://www.google.com/mars wow,, you should ask that in metaphysics or any other forum spammed with "para"-stuff ... when it comes to a comparison between volcanoes and pyramids. Hopwever, To get a core "going" it required the core to be liquid. We just don't know that about Mars. And even if we did, what kind of machine or mechanism should get it going ? To imply that from outside, you'd need a maschine far bigger than the panet itself ... what a crap !! You question is not logical, not at all. This is why it is soooooooooo important to do some homework on the subject before splattering blather about three volcanoes on Mars somehow being related in any way , shape or form to three pyramids in Egypt. Praise for watching the program. I think it helps the average guys and gals begin to understand the difficulties involved in space travel and colonization. Your observations are (let me say this kindly as I can) off the wall. There is no relationship between the Egyptian pyramids and the three volcanoes. Then you invite opinion about such silliness. What do I think about this? Then you propose to "jump-start" the core of an entire planet to get it generating a magnetosphere again (if it ever did to sufficient degree), but you don't have an intelligent clue as to how that could be done -- just do it. When you talk about the possibility of life on Mars, either past or present, you forgot about the meteorite found in Antarctica that was identified as Martian in origin. You forgot about the dissections and microscopic views of the rock within that raised much debate about the possibility of extraterrestrial life-forms. You forgot that in the end, the so-called evidence was inconclusive. You must read tabloids a lot. Your 185 word "question'" reads like a gossip column. What does everybody think, eh? There is no link between the pyramids and the Martian volcanoes. It is impossible to remelt the core of Mars in order to restart the magnetic field. It seems possible, although perhaps not very likely, that there was once life on Mars and that there might still be life or traces of it. The environment of the antarctic is not like Mars. The temperatures might be similar, but Antarctica has lots and lots of water, not just a little, and is much better shielded from solar radiation. |
