Buying a bike very soon got a few choices... (2 choices)?

Ok im buying a bike in the next few days... I was gonna go with the Yamaha FZ6 because i figured its better for long trips and just for traveling to and from work and so on. But i think its ulgy which is a big bummer. I found a good price on a new 07 GSXr600 $7,812 but im 5'7 and not sure how comfortable it will be on long rides just to work its 70miles round trip. Ive never rode or owned a street bike the only one ive drove was a kowasaki 650 induro a big bike but slow and i couldnt touch the ground lol.. I want the GSX its very attractive and cheap new huh? any ideas from some people who have been riding sport bikes?

Both are nice Bikes, the GSX is sporty and faster of course, the FZ6 is very comfortable and better on fuel. and not much slower, i own a FZ1 05 and its aw some. Fast, comfortable. its your age that counts, if middle age go with the FZ6, very young worried about looks and performance only then the GSX. but in a few years if you travel a lot you will wish you had the FZ6.

I would go to the site below and watch the videos there that say.

never been a big fan of 600's but from what you just said, go for the GSXr600 as you don't like the look of the FZ6 so why even bother?

For long rides? uhmmm... I don't know what you consider a long ride. To me, a long ride is 500 kilometers on a 1100cc at speeds; now that is a FUN RIDE! I wouldn't suggest any 600's (personal opinion)

the GSX will fix ya up real nice!

Great performance and looks, just don't get the orange one

Get the FZ6, it will be more comfortable for your commutes. You wont wanna ride if it isn't comfortable.

dude dump that fz, if you want quality, get the gsxr or walk wherever you wanna b

From the way you describe the two bikes. Get the suzuki. 35 miles one way is not a long enough ride to make you uncomfortable. I don't know what you consider a long trip, but by riding it everyday, you'll get used to it....althought the FZ would be more comfortable, it doesn't sound to me like you'll be happy with it, and that's the most important thing.
