Wearing leather pants under jeans?

Is it recommended when you're riding a street bike? So if you fall, you'll rip your jeans but the leather pants under will save your skin...

how uncomfortable/comfortable is it?

Unless you've got a leather fetish, why not go with the flow and put your jeans on, then the protective gear over the top?

If you don't like the look of leather, then check out the kevlar jeans mentioned by others here: http://www.dragginjeans.com/

Leather on the outside.

Actually go to the site below and look at the video that says

i would imagine it would be pretty hot but it would definitely protect if you ever fell

If you're gonna wear the leather, forget the jeans.

Jeans (and cloth) tends to shred (the street rubs holes in it) fairly quickly and are not good for sliding on asphalt. Leather, however, can slide much longer distances before rubbing through. Usually, you won't wear a hole in it, unless you plan to slide for a couple hundred feet. The jeans will give out so fast, it's almost not worth using. And the combination will be hot.

If you're really worried about falling, get some real riding pants with armor. They've started making jeans that are more abrasive resistant. Either Joe Rocket or Cortech. I don't remember which.

Not sure how much the leather would protect you in a fall. The weight of your bike will do more damage than the road burn.

It would definitley be very uncomfortable. Leather looks good but isn't pleasant to wear for long.

Have you heard of these? kevlar embedded jeans

Jeans are fine by itself, especially when you keep a positive attitude when riding your bike.
If you're looking for a spill, your chances increase to having one. I would be concerned more with wearing a helmet first than protective gear. Bones can mend, but head injuries are serious.
Don't worry about crashing especially if you practice common sense safety and watch out for that "driver".
Good riding.

OH I have got to have a picture of that one
Be sure your socks are outside your boots and wear a bandana around your helmet
Might be pushing it to use your under shorts for a face mask but it would be a touch

Dont forget shirt outside your jacket

I would think it would be the other way around.. jeans under leather pants...
