Trick motorcycle riding?

I am thinking of getting into trick motorcycle riding such as jumping off ramps and through a ring of fire. I plan to do some demonstrations this summer for the Castro and Folsom street fair where I launch my bike off the back of a float with a large rainbow flag billowing off the back of my bike. That would be amazing! Does anyone know how to get trained in this? A friend of mine and talked about setting something up in his backyard. Is there a school or something I can go to learn this sort of stuff?

That sounds excellent. Lately I've been doing a trick where I stand on one peg and put one foot in the air behind my bike while pushing my chest out. It looks very cool on my HOG and when I rev my engine and my loud pipes come to life I really get a lot of attention. I really get the looks and I can tell the people checking me out really want a Harley. I'm lucky to be one of the priviledged few that can afford one.

First and foremost, I'd invest in some health insurance... Then I'd start practicing on a regular bicycle, yea the peddle kind, unless your really good at riding now..... then, I'd practice hwhat ever it is your planning on doing and I'd practice it alot..... As for jumping a ramp, going thru a ring of fire...those really are not that amazing in this day and age.... Remember, they've tried jumping the grand canyon, 10 buses end to end, etc. so in order to get peoples attention... you will need someone more brazen.... Good Luck, plan on numerous broken bones and hurt muscles.

I don't know of any schools that train for stunting. Just get with your buddies and find an empty parking lot somewhere. That's what we do. I can only do 1st gear 'wheelies' and 'stoppies' from about 25 m.p.h., but I know with more practice I will get better. Some guys in my group are much better, and they do a lot of jumping. It's just a matter of designing and building a ramp the proper size, for the jump you want to perform. Some trial and error may come in to play.

p.s.- We all switched to BMW's a few years ago, that is something I would highly recommend. They make loads of bottom end power, and no matter how bad we wreck them, they just keep going.

Hey Bro go for it may I make a suggestion? I suggest that when you attempt to jump through the Ring of Fire you get your "life partner" to douse your back with gasoline so when you jump through the ring of fire YOU will be on FIRE!

.No worries!Just go for it.If you crash you should have plenty of volunteers for giving you mouth to mouth.Only thing that could be bad for you is if you land face down.Afterwards you can head to Chaps ll.Hd William will be there waiting to buy you refreshing fruit type drink i'm sure!

Depends. How long have you been riding, on what, what kind of style etc.
First get involved in moto, arena, or supercross events. They will give you an idea of what it takes to land moderate jumps.
Other than that, find a stunt rider and see what it takes from that person.
