I plan on getting a Motor cycle?

I plan on getting a motor cycle when i am old enough but i have a few questions, whats a decent and affordable beginners bike for riding highway and street, more over street though, also, i have a vision condition, i am legally blind in my right eye (no depth perception) vision is 20-400 could this in any way effect me getting a license?

If you have a regular driver's license, then you can get a motorcycle license too. You only need to see out of one eye. I too am blind in my right eye and I have my driver's license.

My reccomentdation for a bike would be somthing like a Honda Nighthawk. They are very affordable and a decent bike, they are by no means performance but they will get the job done.

As for your vision question, I am in Wisconsin and took a multiday safety course to receivemy Motorcycle license, they did nothing regarding vision. I highly reccomend a course like this because they teach you physical riding skills as you spend many hours on a bike.

Somthing to think about is that riding a motorcycle is very much like work as you are required to worry about your safety and such expecially considering you are so small thatit is difficult for people to see you. Your vision is extremely important, even much more than driving a car.

I have friends with worse and they're still riding.
Your first bike should be something you feel comfortable on.
Something that if it fell over, you can stand it up without any trouble.
Something when you straddle the bike, both feet are flat on the ground. Comfortable but not absolutely necessary.
A 250cc to start with, as a beginners bike. Don't try a 650cc, too powerful and meant for experienced riders.

This link should answer some of your questions.
Good riding.

Before you think about getting a motorcycle, check out what's required for the written and driving tests first. There is a vision test to make sure that you can read the signs while driving.

I dont think you have any business on a motorcycle with that horrible vision, honestly your vision plays a bigger part in riding than anything else.
