What can you do to lower a street bike when you are too short and your feet can hardly touch the ground? |
My brother is selling his bike to his friends girlfriend and she is extremly short and can barely reach the ground, so what can she do to lower the bike so she can reach the ground better? If the bike doesn't fit her, it might not be the best option for her. Shorter rear shock/shocks, raise the forks in the triple clamps...be careful when raising forks in the clamps as it affects the steering/handling....P.S. talk to someone at a bike shop. This is what you do, If the seat dosn't go down anymore, get a seat with a shorter post, and use that, and if you can't afford a new one, cut it ( with a special metal cuter) and then the seat will go down lover, you can also, lower the handle bars, to help you not have to reach as far. That should help a little, but you don't have to have to Have you feet flat, just the tips would be fine! Bad idea - get a bike that fits her. |
