Is this a good street bike for a first time rider? |
I was thinking of the ninja 250r. would this be a good bike to learn to ride on. I have no prior experience but i have a few friends who are going to teach me if i get a bike. Should i go with the 250 or 500? I will be riding alot in town as well as interstate speeds to go to school and back. Please help i want to get a bike in the next week. Also any other suggestions welcome my budget is around 6,000. THanks alot. If you are under 6 feet and 250lbs go for the 250r. It's only 3200 bucks. Ride it for 6 months learn all you need. Then sell it for the same 3200 bucks and buy a 600 or better. If you can put both feet flat on ground, go for 500, if not, start with 250. Both is good bike for first time rider, 500 is more powelfull and can follow trafic flow better. really, its best to start small, even better would be a used bike that you could sell once you got comfortable and then put down money for a new or newer larger bike. more importantly, dont let others push you into buying a large first bike, and most importantly, get riding gear before you stat riding! My personal opinion, buy your gear (helmet, gloves, jacket) and then buy a used bike to start off with. maybe an older CB250 for example, it a good bike to learn to ride on and its quite forgiving. Yes, this would be a good bike to start on. The Ninja 250r is a good bike and has good power, although I woudn't recommend it on the interstate for a long length of time due to its smaller engine size. If you think you can handle it, start out with the 500 because you may outgrow the 250 pretty fast. if you can move it, go with 500, if you feel confident. eather one would be a good choice. yes the 250cc Ninja is an excellent starter bike for a beginner looking at getting into sport bikes |

Ask for a 50cm road bicycle frame. ...Absolutely. Three reasons: 1) Its used. Remember there old riders and bold riders, but there are no old, bold riders. ...Dont use the choke unless you really need it if you do just for a few seconds , after i changed my pipes and rejetted the carbs if i use the choke it fouls the plugs , ...not all motorcycle batteries are the same size. as long as it's a 12 volt you should be fine. a kickstart bike won't need the higher cranking output so you can probably go with a cheaper ... The Russian Ural. It is basically a copy of the WWII era BMW. You can even get camo model a sidecar with two wheel drive and a machine gun mount. They have decent looking regular bikes, too.... |
