Looking for a battery for a kickstart street bike, any suggestions?

Are all motorcycle batteries the same size? Would it be harmful to put a battery used for an electric starter into the one with just a kickstart? Would this harm the electrical system? Any clarification is helpful

not all motorcycle batteries are the same size. as long as it's a 12 volt you should be fine. a kickstart bike won't need the higher cranking output so you can probably go with a cheaper battery and maintain it well.

edit: if you don't have an old battery in the bike already you can have someone at an autoparts store lookup the recommended battery. [as long as its a common bike yamaha harley honda etc.] if you can't resort to that then you'll have to ask the people at the autostore if you can bring the battery out and try it in the bike [bring the bike with]. most times they're fairly reasonable about doing that. also make sure that the positive and negative terminals are on the correct side/location.

Def not all the same "size " but the same voltage no prob you could do with out the high cranking amps but if they fit the box & same volts it will work

No, many bikes have both a kickstart and electric starter. Go to the Walmart battery section. They'll have a cataloge you can look up your model and year it. Or any Advance Autoparts, etc can look it up in their system for you.
