I was wondering which company made a better all around street bike.?

I am intrested in getting a 600cc motorcylce and i wantyed to know from someone experienced which company makes a better 600....honda cbr 600 rr, suzuki gsxr 600, yamaha yfz-r6, or kawasaki zx-6r, any advice is appreciated thank you

if there truly was a "better" brand of motorcycle, all the other companies would already be out of business,it's all a matter of "to each thier own" go with whatever feels right for you.

all of those are great bikes. one is not better than the other. go with the one that you like the most.

ducati is good, but any bike you like is fine

Each offer the absolute in motorcycling it really comes down to brand loyalty and taste.

Good luck and stay vertical

Look at the Triumph daytona 675

Umm, if you're talking STREET bikes there's quite a few more than just the sport bikes your mentioning. Those are full on "race ready" bikes and not very comfortable to ride for long distances. If you plan on putting more than 50 miles on your bike in a single shot you might want to look at other things as well like the FZ6 (Yamaha) or the SV650S (Suzuki). There's also the Ninja line from Kawasaki. All are a more relaxed ride than the full sport bikes but very capable rides for hitting the twisties. Speaking from a friend's experience, if you've never ridden a street bike before, I would HIGHLY recommend avoiding the full on race bikes until you've got some miles under your belt. I once acquired an FZR600 with 5k miles on it that was only 2 years old for next to nothing because a friend bought a bike bigger than he could handle and broke his arm and leg in 2 separate crashes.

Sad part is, if you're a new rider you might not be able to test ride them which could be the determining factor on what you end up buying. At least sit on them and ask the salesman or a friend to hold the bike for you while you put both feet up on the pegs.

But of course the speech of "proper riding gear" must be done. Helmet, Gloves, Jacket, boots, and pants are a strong suggestion. While they won't necessarily save your life, they'll sure save you some nasty scaring and lots of additional pain from road rash.

Its all your personal preference...some people like the way the YZF handles over the Gixxer, some people like the comfort of the gixxer over the R6, etc etc...

do your research on performance ( and if you do your homework right, youll realize that its not just about the manufacturers but the model years and so on and so on until your head will explode!! ) but bottom line its about personal preference and what your looking for (performance, comfort, torque, handling, and on and on and on....).....

its kind of like when people argue about which branch of the military is the best, its all different but its all the same, but i think youll be happy with ANY of the bikes you mentioned above, sit on em, and youll know which one you want, youll just picture yourself on it and youll already have a name to give her!!! I personally go with the R6, why?? i dunno, i just fell in love with it when i was younger, and Im not gonna cheat on her ever!! Good luck

I like Yamaha, I had a R6 and loved it. I like Yamaha cause, nice colors, they always seem to do it rite, there always in the top, no loud colors, no stupid names (ninja-huyabusa), and the punks always go for a suzi or a kawi they can have them. I like my Yamaha.

Honda for reliability.
