What is the best street bike?

that is affordable and easy to ride... but yet kinda fast and sounds good? Im thinkin of gettin a bike after i pay my car off...

Um, guys...

In England, a road bike and a street bike are 2 different things. A road bike is what is commonly known as a road bike, but a street bike is for urban assault... almost a cross between a road bike and a cyclocross but usually with mudguards and less aggressive geometry, and often with 26" wheels.

Some US companies call these urban MTBs or something like that.
