What is up with my legs?

A couple months ago I was working out a lot (5 days a week 90 minutes eliptical and 40 minutes bike ride) and I got this problem with my thighs, when I went to the doctor, she was either imcompetant or I was just strange because she couldn't give me a proper answer to waht it was, she just gave me some painkillers and within 2 weeks it went away.

I stopped for 1 month, and started working out again 5 days a week 1 hour of intense cardio and some callisthenics, never had a problem for the first 3 weeks I was doing it. I had a 2 day break starting sunday, and when I tried going back today I started feeling a gradually painful tightness in my thighs (just after having gone down some stairs and walking along the street), by the time I got up the stairs of the gym I realized the same excruciating pain from 3 months ago was back. I stretch, rest properly, and take tons of vitamins...what is this?? It just reappeared out of nowhere!

I could understand if it was too much leg exercising, but I used to do do much more 3 years ago, and I never had any problems...that is what I find strange 1 year ago I was doing 3 hours of weight training/callisthenics a day and I was fine, never felt the slightest bit of pain....

This pain came back after a 2 day rest period which is even stranger. I did 90 minutes of cardio saturday, then sunday and monday I took a break (during which I felt NO pain whatsoever), yet today while on my way to the gym I started feeling pain again...this is REALLY weird.

maybe you are over exercising
you dont want to over do it

Try a sports medicine doctor

Sounds like leg cramps. Drink more water.

your body obviously isn't used to the silly amounts of exercise you do, don't do so much or let your body get used to it first.

maybe you have a pinched nerve, or like charlie horses. I suffer from siatica on my right thigh get a leg massage and see if that help or soak in a nice hot bath. I would try a different doctor if it continues or maybe cut your routine out a bit until your leg is better

It's very obvious, you've injured yourself. Your type of injury was not a sudden rupture, it was a gradual tearing of the fibers in your legs. You need to be angry and insist that you get an MRI. You need to find a better primary care doctor and get proper medical attention. If you don't,then your muscles will heal itself incorrectly leaving you with a permanent problem.
Good Luck
(( and for what it's worth, I think you are doing too much leg work, you need more time to recover between workouts, you need to mix it up between lower and upper body))
