What is the best brand of bicycle to use.? |
I am thinking about bicycling for excercise. I will be mainly using on streets and in parks. Just wanted to get an idea of some brands that are ok for this sort of thing. Just about any bike will give a good workout and get you places. I would avoid dept store bikes like Magna and Huffys. I would go to a bike shop or a store like REI that actually has staff that knows about bikes....cuz dept store workers don't know crap about building a bike....seen plenty that were built wrong. Specialized HardRock is a good solid basic mountain bike. Huffy. Cannondale, Trek, and Giant. All are solid American Brands. Also, the REI Novara series bikes are ledgit bikes that *** frm chinea all suck *** so they count not the only good one is cannondale and this is not an advert all you ******* thin skinned assholes out there Trek, Specialized, KHS, and Giant are all good names avoid Huffy, etc., and Raleigh, Diamondback, and Schwinn if you are looking for a beach style cruiser, try Nirve or Elektra http://www.specialized.com Get yourself a hybrid bike which can be used for on and a little off road, it's light and more comfy than a pure racing bike. All the decent makes of bikes do a good entry level bike to start with going up to thousands of dollars/pounds. Kona, specialized, claude butler, cannondale, Gt, marin, saracen, scott, schwinn , trek, giant , orange, klein, sun, and many more do nice bikes. How much you want to spend is totally up to you, the sky is the limit. A good starter is the specialized sirrus, nice and light , fast and quite comfortable after a few days getting used to the saddle happy cycling fellow |
