Which is better to buy used? Kawasaki, Yamaha, or Suzuki street bike? |
not looking to spend a whole lot of money either, about 2 grand Yamaha would be what I would be wanting to look at used. Any one of these bike most likely would have been ridden out really hard especially the Kawasaki Ninjas and Suzuki 1200's, besides I would rather own a shaft driven bike like the Yamaha provides. Which ever one is in the best shape and seems to have an owner that kept up with maintenance Harley-Davidson I personally like Kawasaki, and I feel they're closer to your price range. Yamaha and Suzuki seem to hold better value on a similar model. All 3 brands are good bikes, and you're not gonna go wrong any way. It's really just finding exactly what you want for the price you want to pay. EBay will help give you some ideas on the current values. you could buy a old sportster and have a real motorcycle for that price All three are pretty much equal. What you should consider more is who you are buying from and how they treated the bike. For example, it is unwise to purchase a used bike from a teenager. This is not saying that all teenagers misuse their bikes, but the percentage of teens who misuse their bikes is much higher than adults. Check out the bike CAREFULLY. Especially for bent frames, rims, forks. here is what you do, take the $2000 and go to a bike shop and tell them you have the money and you want a used bike and you will pay cash. you probaly will get a really good deal on a bike worth about 2000to2800 paying cash. hint kawasaki oh yeah |
