What 06-07 streets bike 600cc is the best bike for a beginner? |
im looking to buy a street bike 06-07 but, i dont know which one. i know how to ride them so i dont need anything weak =P so whats the best bike in the 600cc range. i wanna keep away from 1000's. I strongly recommend the Suzuki SV-650. It is about the most fun-to-ride bike you can buy. If you were a real beginner, I'd say go for something small instead - the Honda Nighthawk 250 is ideal - but if you know how to ride and can handle the power, the Suzuki will do it for you. Here's a link: http://www.suzukicycles.com/products/sv6... I also recommend that you take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation beginners' course before riding. What I learned in it 15 years ago has saved my neck a number of times. I had my wife take this course too before buying her a bike of her own to ride. Have fun, and good luck! I like kawasakis and hondas If you like cruisers - I rode a 2001 Honda Shadow VLX600 for 3 years and I loved it. I moved up to a Shadow Ace 750. Hondas are the easiest bikes to maintain and they are reliable and virtually trouble free. Honda CBR600FS looks nice. 600cc is alotta bike for a beginner, I started on a Yamaha350 RD. That was and still is a HP-to-Weight stone killer. i would suggest the gsk600 or the r6. i have rode both at the gsk was more fun but the r6 seemed faster. and that is a good idea stayin away from the 1000 for a while. i rode my friends new r1 last week. it was the funnest and scarest ride of my life. are you looking for a cruiser bike or a Sport Bike?, if sports bikes is ur thing, the honda cbr's are good, Yamaha makes 600's, and so does Suzuki Shop around and pick whichever one you like the most. I am going to get either a Honda CBR 600RR or a Yamaha R6 for my next bike. Leaning towards the honda right now because i think they are built a little more solidly... but everyone has their own opinion. They are both great bikes and there's no reason why you couldnt start on one of those. If you want something a little mellower you can pick up an '06 Honda F4i... they are not quite as powerful as a 600RR, but because they are more forgiving if you keep the revs low they make pretty good beginner bikes. They also have a more comfortable riding position than the gsxr, r6, 600rr, etc. F4i's are known for being good stunt bikes too. Also check out the Suzuki SV650... it has a v-twin engine and is much less powerful than a race replica 600cc, but they have a lot of torque and are supposed to be real good in the turns. |
