Any tips for passengers on street bikes? |
My boyfriend has a street bike, I have been riding on it with him for almost a week. I dont know how far back i should sit, what to hold on to, what to do when he does wheelies, and what position my foot should be on the pegs. Please help! Doy! The best position for a rider on a street bike is the same position the driver is in. You need to mimic the driver's posture so you are predictable to them. If you are sitting too far back, and he pulls a wheelie, or takes a sharp corner, you will not "go" with him right away, and will upset the balance of the bike for a brief time. That is not good, bad things happen when a driver and rider aren't in sync with each other. So, I say get close, hold the driver around the waist, and move with them, not opposite them. Second of all, if he's doing wheelies when you're riding on the back, he's an idiot. If he wants to kill himself that's one thing, but he shouldn't take you with him. Your boyfriend is a show off stupid idiot that has no regard for your safety or others! If he ever pulls a wheelie with you on the back of his motorcycle again, do what jett-boy said and squeeze his nuts until he stops then kick his butt to the curb! My girlfriends BF was showing off with her on the back of his streetbike and they hit a parked car. She ended up a paraplegic and the idiot BF only had a broken arm.
