In an average suburban street who goes faster, a postie on a bike or a garbage truck?

If they're in race, the bike will go faster off of the starting line, but in the end, the garbage truck will win.

However, if the garbage truck is under the normal stop & go conditions on suburban streets -- the postie on a bike will be the winner.
