Are pocket bikes street legal on quiet streets? |
just was curious because I ride mine on a quiet street No. And neither are quads or ATV trikes, or minibikes, or go-carts or any of the other motorized toys available from Rednecks'R'Us. But that doesn't stop "loving" parents from letting junior and sis tear around on them. These things are NOT safe, not only from the visibility and stability issues, but also because the operators are not licensed. Keep your pocket rocket in the driveway. yep, in SC anyway They're not legal anywhere (in NY). Some cops will bother you, some won't. If someone calls the police then you'll get in trouble. well as long as the cops don't see you or the neighbors don't care, but from what i know (at least all of Texas) they are illegal on all streets even "quiet" ones. not in alabama, georgia, tennessee or mississippi Hell No. Every city has their own local laws, so you would have to check. Noise is the only reason people would complain. Make sure it's quiet and keep it off the main roads. You'll be fine. |
