Are gas or electric powered mini bikes street legal in TN? |
I am thinking about buying a mini bike, but i dont want to buy one if I cannot ride it. Please help! By the time you waste your money on one, you could probably buy a decent used motorcycle that will be 1) street legal, and 2) won't make you look like a dork. Sorry Deuce, you can't ride them on the street. They are not street legal. You will need working headlights, tail lights, and they must be licensed and titled. You can;t get a tag for them, so you can't ride them on the street legally. The police will pull you over and give you a ticket. Go ahead, make my day, punk....... if no police see you then you should be a okay. but if you want to out run them suckers get a bigger bike not some pithetic 50cc chineze junk. and a electric a turtle could out run those junks. if your out in the country or have nice neighbors nobody will usually bother you. but to be street legal it has to have turn signals, brake lights, headlights, and a place for a tag. Most of the mini bikes i've seen have the lights but not the tag holder. I don't think there are any electric ones though. |
