Heres the situation? |
I ride a skateboard because its fun and bette than staying at home smoking cigarettes and drinking beer. I dont go to places on the street with signs that say "no skateboarding" but my questiong is is it ok to skate thur these places in order to get to the skatepark and if this is breaking the law please explain why and why arent bicycles illegal If it is posted you could be fined. You should carry your board thru these places. Repeated offenses could lead to loosing our board. If you are on private property and the owner wants no skate boarders then you are violating that. Trespassing would be the charge. That said, if you go through, CARRY your skateboard, cause no trouble, and you should be fine. They just don't want their property destroyed. You can't blame them for that, can you? As the previous posters said, carry your board through private property and wherever signs say "no skateboarding." It is different than a bike because bikers are not notorious for grinding on ledges/handrails/etc and defacing the property. If you go to areas where BMX is popular, you'll notice that biking there is banned as well, largely for the same reason. |
