NJ Laws; street legal Dirt bikes?


I'll be working a summer job in my hometown in Monmouth County in NJ. Both of my parents will be working, so I wont be able to get a ride to work. It's 4 miles to get to my workplace. I'd hate to say it, but riding my bike that 4 miles to work (only to do more manual labor) really doesnt sound too good to me.

Is there anyway I can drive an ATV/Dirt bike to work, Legally? Do I need a moped license, etc? I know the bike needs blinkers and fenders and stuff, but details would be great.

BTW, there arent many cops in my town, and I do have somewhat of a backway/backroad to get to work.

You need a motorcycle license and the vehicle would have to pass inspection with all the lights, blinkers, etc. Hope this helps!!!
