How far will they go? |
I saw on the news last night that there are places in the U.K. where they not only have security cameras on the streets, but there's also someone watching them at all times and they are able to speak to you! So for example, if you are riding your bicycle on the sidewalk, they will call you on your infraction and tell you to dismount. They showed an example, by throwing a piece of trash on the ground. Right away, the voice came over the loud speaker "Lady in the brown jacket, please pick up your litter and throw it in the trash receptacle." Once she did it, they thanked her for doing so which was nice. They are very polite about it. Has anyone experienced this? What do you think about it? What would you do if the implemented this in Canada or the U.S.? I think that their starting to go to far. I'm ok with having security cameras around, but having someone actually being able to talk to you?! Sounds pretty extreme, to be sure, but on the upside if you have someone watching the streets 24/7 it would make for a much safer environment. Criminals would be much less likely to attempt theft, rape, murder, etc., if they know they're being watched... I think unfortunately becasue of the way the world is going it may be a necessary evil. And it just might keep some on thier toes. Oh, well really if it happens what can you do to stop it? Nothing so we just have to learn to deal with it. that's a bit extreme, however I feel, since I am a good citizen and have nothing to hide, they can watch me as long as they want to. I'll be pretty boring to watch, but in today's world there's a lot of bad people and maybe it's good that they watch. They will go as far as we let them. And unfortunately people are so afraid of one another that we will probably let them go as far as they want in the name of so called security. One day soon privacy as we once knew it will no longer exist. In a lot of ways in already no longer exists. It can only be changed if we want it to change. They can only do what we allow them to do. Big brother is watching everybody!!!??? It will increase my paranoia, for shore! And, I've just finished my 6 p.m. (my local time) masturbation... ...and like everything else, some 14-year old genius will figure out a way to get around these new spy cameras. Just like they figured out ways to gain access to a so-called "secure" bank account , break into and disarm car alarms within seconds, start cars with their fingers, and on and etc. People are really too busy here in the US to be concerned with what I would call "sneakcams" anyway. So I have to adjust my bra. Then I won't wear one. Then everyone will be looking at me cause I'm bra-less and no one will care about any 'sneakcams' And as for Big Brother by the way, somebody is going to be watching them also. just a thought |
