Want to sell bike. no title. from out of state....?


I moved from CT to AZ in September. I brought my dirt bike (not for street, only motorcross) to arizona, I want to sell it, some guy asked about title, I dont have one, no one caresa bout titles and dirt bikes in ct, in az they do, will a Bill Of Sale Work?
Getting a title inst a option.

1) A bill of sale is okay, but there is a small risk involved. Suppose the buyer later wants to get out of the deal because he doesn't like the bike? The buyer can come back on you for selling a bike without a title.

2) But if you really can't get a title, then I'm not sure that you have another option. So, I'd advise you to size up the buyer carefully; make sure (to the extent anyone can) that he is honest and straight forward. Do the deal and accept that there is a slight chance you may have to buy your way out of the transaction later.

3) If you have any doubts, definitely, definitely look for another buyer.

a Bill Of Sale should work, thats all im probably gonna do when i move out to az to go to MMI in Phoenix/Avondale in October.
