What is a mini bike? |
Is it legal to ride mini bikes on the street? It's a tiny motorcycle, and no there not street legal. In almost all areas the answer is no. You should check with your local police department to be sure. a small bike? Its a small motorcycle, and mopeds and that fall into that category. As long as it is set up to be street legal, you should be able to get it registered. Check with you local police department and traffic center, as in some areas, where they are legal to ride on the streets (like where I live), as long as they are not set up for dirt bike riding or racing and they are under 50 cc's you can ride them on the sidewalk or in the slower lanes of traffic. They are tiny bikes........ No they are not legal. A mini-bike is a motorized off-road cycle with a front wheel (rim) greater than 14" and less than 19" in diameter. Usually between 60 and 110 cc's in displacement. They are not street-legal. A "mini-bike" is a simple frame, seat, and an upright lawn mower engine - briggs & stratton or techumsa.
