Another bike appraisal question for you!? |
http://kalamazoo.craigslist.org/mcy/3441... Bike needs nothing and has less than 12,000 miles on it. I of course will have someone check the bike out to confirm that nothing is wrong. I offered him $1,000 if the bike is in perfect condition. I think I will get the deal. Is this a fair price? I never rode a bike before but let me say this, THIS BIKE WILL ONLY BE USED IN THE PARKING LOT! I know a lot of people say get a 250cc. But I know a lot of people who started out with 600cc and are fine. This year I only plan to use this bike for practice out of the streets unless I get really good with it before summer is over. With that said, what do you guys think? How much would you pay for this bike personally? By todays standards the bike is pretty tame, but remember it will still go 0-60 in 3 secs or less and a beginner can get in real trouble quick. If in good shape it's a good deal. Take a MSF beginners course, wear proper safty gear-even when practicing in a parking lot. Take it easy most beginners crash in the first 500 miles. Remember there are 2 types of motorcyclists--those who have crashed and those who haven't crashed YET. No comment on the parking lot bit. 40 years in the business I would go for it I just purchased my first bike and it is a 750. I ride it 42 miles one way to and from work. I am also a new rider, I passed my test at the end of April. I would suggest starting off in a parking lot but don't be afraid to take it out on some side streets. Before you know it you will be street riding everywhere. what year?oh nevermind learn how to ride first. |
