Me and my wife think that we would like to take up bicycling as something we can do together but we dont know exactly what to look for in a bike. We live, and would be doing most of our riding, in the suburbs so most of our riding would be done on streets, but we might also be doing some on biking trails that are located around where we live.
What should we look for in a bike and where should we buy from?

First go to a bike shop and find out what size bike you both need. Also find out what type of bike you want to ride, then go home and go look at www.craigslist.com for your region and see if you can find good used bike(s). Look for sales at the bike shops and check on-line at www.bikesdirect.com and www.performancebikes.com. Yard sales sometimes have diamonds in the rough. Be patient and you will find the bikes that you want to start with, then when the bug gets you, watch out pocket book! I just bought a Trek Pilot. Check it out at www.treckbikes.com. WEAR A HELMET!
