Is there anyone here who never learned to ride a bike? |
My 5 year old can ride a tricycle, but because we live in a condo on a busy street, she rarely gets a chance to ride it. With all the crazy people these days, I can't just let her ride freely around the neighborhood. I'm afraid she'll never learn to ride a normal bike. Any suggestions and would this make her strange? If she never picks up on riding a bike, there are tons of other things she can do. She can get into gymnastics, ballet, or any kind of sport eventually to take the attention away from the fact that she doesnt ride a bike. And who knows? She may eventually pick it up. I'm 33 and I still don't know how to ride a bike... I'm the typical girly none outdoorsy type, so it's never bothered me... well, i tell you what; i did learn how to ride a bike, but have since forgotten. apparently, the old saying about riding a bike is false. and i wouldn'a worry about your little girl, how will that really affect her life in this day and age? besides, it's never to late to learn. not really, since she is a girl. Yeah, about guys though it's kinda embarrising when we don't know how to ride bikes at least. until she gets comforatable always keep a close watch on her and when she gets a little older and more experianced give her a normal bike and with helmets and stuff and see if she can ride it if now let her ride more often me I loved to ride my bike as a child, I would fly around the neighborhood just as fast as I could. But I lived in the suburbs and those were different times when I was a child. I think kids should ride bikes. Is there any way you can take your little one to a park and let her ride the bike paths? Maybe you could take your bike and ride with her. |
