I Heard the 49cc poket bikes are aloud to be ridden street legal n no license requierd is that true? Depends on the locality. They have recently (within the last few months) become no longer street legal where I live. Check your local laws. Your local police will be able to answer this one definitively for your locality. Many communities have restricted them in the past year. Not only is that true but if you wheel one around the streets long enough someone will give reader a free pony. What you have not heard is city police, county sheriff, and state troopers are paid to find unlicensed drivers on public roadways, cite them for vehicle violation, and impound the machine immediately. The impound charges are high as is cost of an attorney so even fast sell of a gutless 49cc isn't going to pay both bills. Go figure. 200 % nope... you got to have a headlight, taillight, and turn signals to be allowed on the streets, let alone it must be ran through the dmv... and if a vehicle is under 50 cc you need a class c license and insurance... got caught in downtown la... not in my country Here in my part of Nebraska I know for sure it is not legal. Even if it was why would you want to race around the streets twelve inches off the ground? Not only would you be quite likely to die but it would also be kind of an embarassing way to go. You can get 125's and up that are street street legal and are at least high enough profile that people would have a chance to see you. You need to check with the DMV in the locality where u live, laws vary from state to state. |
