My bike got a flat tire, i bought new ones how do i get bike to repair shop? |
I bought 2 new tires for my bike (yamaha R6) but my back tire has a flat i dont know anyone with a truck so i was thinking about riding the bike to the repair shop its about 5 to 10 min away from my house just taking the side streets and going slow anyone have any other suggestions. the harley shop close to me would come get my bike if i couldnt bring it in. bro, dont even think about tryin to run it on a flat. u'll never make it. getting a flat when on the road can be extremely hazardous to ur health. when u know the tire is no good, dont push ur luck...rent a truck, or maybe ask a neighbor if he's got 1. i recently saw a meter scoot in the local hd shop...if u need to, call the local hd shop. they'll hook ya up and u wont risk splashin ur bike and trashin it. dont drive it bc you run the risk of messing up your rim. unless it hold air for long enough. other wise find a buddy with a truck or get some kind of trailer You'll never ride it all that way without shreding the tyre and probably ruining the rim. Stick the bike on a padock stand, take the back wheel off and take it to the repair shop in a car/cab. If you don't have a padock stand, invest in one. It's almost essential when running a sportsbike. Push the bike or contact the shop they may come after it for you. Common Knowledge Take the wheel off yourself... that said, if you don't have the tools: Rent a truck. Call the dealership.. they may offer a tow-in service for about the same price as a truck rental or free if you're that close. AAA maybe, have it towed its not that much money. or if you have a lil 4 wheel dolly , put the back wheel on the dolly and strapp it real good and push it, if you drive the bike with a flat you will need to buy a new rim. i think the best way to have it done is to take the rim off and take a cab or walk to the shop. |
