Is everybody going to be living in Smart Growth, New Urbanist, in downtown areas? |
And in mixed-use communities in the future? Will everybody be using walking, bicycles, and public transit? What will happen to existing single-family neighborhoods, businesses, suburbs, streets, freeways, etc.? I don't think "everyone" will be living in such communities anytime soon. Of course, there will be more and more smart growth communities as time goes on, but the transition will take a long time and is never going to happen 100%. |
