Starter motorcycle? |
I've been on birt bikes when I was younger, but now I would like to get a street bike. Is the suzuki s40 a good starter bike, or are there any you could suggest? I started on a 650 Yamaha V-Star, great bike easy to handle. Once you have it for a few years, you will definitely want something bigger. I now have a Harley Low rider...big difference in handling but still easy to ride. Good luck, be safe and take the motorcycle training class!!! Great choice.. I had the LS 650 savage for a few years 1986 model I think.. but I would sugest you buy a second hand bike to start with... better to throw a cheap bike down the road rather than a nice new one.. If you can already ride reasonably well you probably will only throw it on its side a couple of times..LOL buy the new one in a years time when your more confident... 35 years riding & counting My starter bike was a Suzukie GS500 and it was great and I am a femal. It was enough power and not to much. I had never rode before I bought my bike so you may wanna try something a little bit bigger since you have rode dirt bikes. But then again I am in to more racing bikes or crotch rockets, so I guess that would be fine for a stadard. Good Luck!!!! Be Safe!!! Definitely buy a bike that's 650 cc's or less. Honda Rebel 250 Many motorcycle training courses use them. |
