Would I be happy with a Ninja 250?

Last year I bought a Virago 250. This is my first street bike.I have put a good many miles under my belt and am Interested in getting a sport bike. Do you I would be happy with a Ninja 250? Alot of my riding is in town and never ride the interstate.

Well, there are only 2 real answers.. yes and no. And the difference between which of those answers is the correct one FOR YOU is you. The bike is fine for heights between 4'9" and at least 6'4", and speaking from the top end of that scale, it's pretty dang comfortable when compaired to "sport" bikes. Weight wise, it seems most people put the cut-off at 250lbs, but being north of that myself, I don't feel it's an issue right on up to the bikes max capacity. It can more than handle all in-town duties, and highway chores should you decide to expand your riding realm.

The question is really only something that you can answer yourself. The bike is more than any person Needs on the street, more than capable of getting you tossed in jail, or hurt. Since you've already been riding a 250, I'd guess that you've already dealt with the "Real Bike" crap from those who have no clue. If your reason for wanting to change is position/cosmetics and not peer pressure, then you will most likely be happy with the EX250.

Just so you know, there's a forum out there devoted to the little bikes, and they have a top-notch FAQ that will probably answer parts of your question. both can be found here:

Cheers Source(s): 15 years riding experience, 4 years roadracing, and over 120k miles of seat time on mostly sportbikes. The 250 is by far, the Most fun I've had on a streetbike, ever.
You didn't say how big you are. The Ninja 250 would be cramped if you are over 6'0" tall. It's a fun little bike, if it's comfortable for you. You should go sit on one if at all possible to check the "fit" of the bike for your body.

If the 250 is too small for you, you may want to look at the 500 instead.
ninja are very cool bikes i have one but they are more the high-way kind of bike they go a litte to fast for me in the city i use my harly in the city

Nope, not at all if you've beenr iding a 250 you won't be happy with anything less than a 500. To be happy with it you are going to need to feel deep down that this bike hands down outperforms the bike you got rid of. Get the 500
Head on over to www.ninja250.org and ask around.

Also check out the FAQ.

Coming from a 250 Virago, I bet the Ninja will be a lot of fun for you.

Also, there are definitely people over 6 feet tall that enjoy riding the Ninja 250.

If you're not out for insane crotch rocket speed, the Ninja is a very fun lightweight bike, and it's perfect in the city.
