Is it possible to put snow tires on a motorcycle, or is there anyway I can ride my motorcycle in the snow? |
Its a kawasaki Street Bike. It is not a dirt bike. Yea man I ride in the winter forget these people.... You need to get a second tire, and have someone install ice screws to the nubs. I have done this for years and I have more fun than on my snowmobile Source(s): 15+ years auto customizing Ouch is all I can say for riding in the snow... There is nothing to do when you start to slide, you go down hard with the weight of the bike on you...... Not really any safe way. You can ride your bike in snow, and you can ride it off a cliff. Neither is a really good idea. Cars don't fall over when they lose traction, but bikes sure will. There is no such thing as snow tires for a motorcycle because motor cycles aren't mean to be ridden in the snow. That is extremely dangerous for yourself and others around you. A guy that I was in the military with used to ride his from the barracks to the hanger, but I have no idea how he kept it upright. I rode in the snow once and dumped the bike repeatedly. as a matter of fact there is. a kit is made for motorcycles that you just take the front wheel off and replace it with a ski made for your bike, that with a knobby tire.....have fun |
