Which one? |
which would be best for a high-schooler's first street bike? -Suzuki GSX R-750 -kawasaki ZZR-600 -Suzuki GS-500F -kawasaki ninja 500R -suzuki GSX-R750 or another type?? (sorry I'm asking so many questions about bikes but i wanna learn this stuff) Is this your first bike? If so, go with a 600...looks good but not an overdose on power (the Ninja comes in 600). Although, out of the ones you've chosen, I'd chose a GSX-R...the baby Hyabusa. :) kawasaki ninja 500R i like the yamaha R1 butttttttt gooooo with the gsx r750 they look coooooool My first bike was a Honda & I highly recommend them. They're dependable and sturdy. At one point I owned 5, everything from a Trail 70 to a CM 500. That was as far as I was competent to ride since it was the only one I could sit flat-footed. Whichever one of them you choose, just make sure to wear safety gear & learn to drive defensively. And don't be sorry for asking questions. That shows intelligence and thought. There's never a dumb question & everyone has a whole lot to learn on any given subject. None of the above for a first timer and in highschool. Anything from a 175cc to a 300cc is plenty enough for a beginner. Dirt bike experience doesn't count for street bike riding as the only thing you 've gained is how to shift ,start out and stop Street riding is a whole new beast with a lot more focus involved. Is there some girl you trying to impress? Vespa's seem to turn young girls heads as they consider them "cute" Remember ,"ya got to crawl before ya walk" My first street legal bike was a Sear's 50cc honda My current bike is a Harley Heritage Springer Been ridin' for 37 yrs and I can tell ya their are more idiots on the road now than when I started of the ones you mentioned i would recommend the gsf500 or the ninja 500. ideally since this would be your first bike i would recommend something in the 250 range such as the ninja 250. learn to ride it and then move on up as you gain experience. even some of the 500's listed above can be intimidating to a beginner. don't jump in over your head to begin with or it could ruin your experience of motorcycling from the start. |
