I wana get my motorcycle license. What do i need to go trhough to get it? |
Im 18 and i wana get a street bike what should i start off with also and how do i get the license and are there any websites i can visit for more info? There are two ways. One is to go to DMV and go through the paperwork and take both tests. Written and riding test. You must pass both. Another alternative is to take a riding course. This is the way to go. You learn a lot even if you think you know it all. It's easier to pass the riding test when you take the course.Once you're done they give you a waiver for the riding test. Take the paperwork to DMV and you will not have to take the riding test again. You will only have to take the written test. The written test it's pretty easy but must read the manual. Plus you save around 20% on the insurance when you show proof that you passed the riding course. Good luck and ride safe. Source(s): This is how it is in CT and this is what I went through. visit your state's DMV website To get your Motorcycle license you need to go to your local DMV and ask them for the paperwork to fill out. I know in NYS you need like 4 points of identification and a few other things. I would call your local DMV and ask them. Information from the Drivers Manual I live in Ca. the written test was very easy, the riding test was abit challenging, I would suggest taking a bike you are very familiar with and does not weight a whole lot.. Over here, the easiest way is to go to the DMV, take the written test and get your learners permit. Then take the MSF course and get a waiver for the road test.
