Can I put a Lifan 200cc engine into an RS-25/R2 (Yes, those generic toy bikes)? |

Donor Bike = http://www.americanlifan.com/lifan2/lf20... My simple question is can I take a lifan 200cc engine, the one linked above, and stick it in either of the bikes linked above? Regardless of why I just want to know how easily this could be accomplished. If I have a skilled mechanic willing to work for free, can this be done for under 500+engine price? Are there any bigger engines that I could do this with for a comparable price/labor time? What other components would I need to buy to make sure it doesn't explode in my crotch? Thank you for considering my request. It looks as if the R2 has a Knock off Honda Xr50 motor. The particular Lifan motor you chose wont bolt up in the stock mounting spots. The type of motor design is also different too. The stock one has a horizontal design and the other is vertical.(some clearance issues may occur). Custom fabrication of motor mounts required for that swap and probably some reinforcement of the frame. Check to see if they use the same chain also. I'd save my money sell what you got and buy something better. |
