What is the best skate park tyre for my bike? |
I need a new pair of tyres and i'm not sure what ones to get. All i know is that i want a pair of slick/street tyres? Hey Lethal, My cousin uses these Maxxis Hookworms. They hook up great, last a long time and don't pinch flat easy. They are a semi street slick. Check out the link: http://www.maxxis.com/products/bicycle/p... Yup, This tire will fit, the 1.95 will just be narrower than the 2.25. The 20 in the size stands for a 20 inch rim and the 1.95 stands for the width of the tire. Any tire with a 20 in the size will fit your rims. For example 20 x 1.95 will fit, but 26 x 1.95 won't fit. You could go with the "M-Tread" which comes in a wider 20 x 2.10 and is good for skate parks. Maxxis also makes a "Max Daddy" in a 20 x 2.25, but it is more of a BMX hardpack dirt track tire. Also check out this link to Kenda: http://www.kendausa.com/bicycle/street.h... They make a nice tire called the Kenda "Karrumba" in a 20 x 1.95 made just for Skate parks. Nice tire! Hope this helps. = ) i use maxxis ringworms and they are amazing, maxxis holy rollers work well too the animal asm tires are nice for the back and a maxxis Miracle are nice for the front... any tire will fit as long as its like 20'' from 1.70 to 2.25. 1.70 being small and 2.25 being pretty big. usually a size 1.85 or 2.10 are good enough. it all depends on what exaclly your are doing really according to surface area and tire size. danscomp.com |
