Does Anyone Know What Book is This? |
Last night, I was listening to the radio, and the woman was reading a really good book on air, except I've only listened about 20 minutes of it before I fell asleep, so I don't know much about it, but so far what I've heard it was great. It was something like a man from Mexico goes to the US with little money, and he gets a job at a metal sheet factory (or something like that) and his clothes were all ripped & raggety, so he walks to Sears in the pouring rain to look for some work clothing, but they were too expensive, so he goes to K-Mart and cheaper work clothes. He then stops by at KFC and bought chicken & used up all his money. When walking home, he sees a little girl that fell off her bike on the street, goes up to her and helps her. .. and that's all I can remember. I also remember that there is a girl in it named Bobby and the title of tihs book has the word 'America' in it. anyone know what I'm talking about? Thanks! :O) Call up the radio station and ask them. Or listen to them again tonight, they will probably continue reading it or at least talk about it. |
