What are good bikes for dirst jumps and trials? |
i used to just bike to get to my friends houses and do jumps once and a while but not im getting more serious and i would like i new bike. I do trials dirt jumps, log rides, ladders, ect. so i want a bike that is good for that becuase any bike can go on the street. I have a dunlop fs 767 and its not good at all i was advised to go to Wistler Mt. or other places where you can rent bikes and go when they sell their bikes. (I wouldnt go alont I would go with someone who knows their bikes) but what are some good bikes to look out for (ill spend up to $1000) thanks you've gotten some okay advice so far. I use the "Specialized P2", and it is solid! It is made for dirt jumping and urban riding, comes with great components, an awesome fork for the price. Anyone who dirt jumps will tell you this bike is great Here are a few others to check out: -Rocky Mountain Flow -Norco Two50, One25, and Ryde -Scott Voltage -Haro Thread series -Trek Jack series Do lots of test riding. Get something thats comfortable, and DO NOT cheap out. I see so many people jumping on bikes that aren't made for the abuse, and they spend more time in the shop than out on the road. Good luck Source(s): work in a bike shop well i have a mongoose motivator-its reliable durable, decently light, and only about 140 bucks uhhh i wouldn't suggest a mongoose. i'm not gunna lie, they suck. Get a haro. i agree with burnz, a haro is a great bike. a 24" bmx bike mite work as long as the brand is rider owned (no mongooses or diamondbacks) haro, fit, eastern etc. Specialized p2 is a great bike. Giant stp, kona shred, kona cowan, kona scrap, santa cruz jackal. santa cruz chameleon are alll great bikes....DON'T GET A MONGOOSE OR ANYTHING FROM KMART!!!! ride bikes everywhere. is my life |
