Supersport motorcycle question?

(Im Aussie, so I duno If everyone else has all these bikes overseas but I think so). I want to buy a sick bike, just dunno what, I really like the suzuki GSX-R750, is it much faster than the 600cc, or should I look at 900's or 1000's for sick speed, I was told that the 1 litres are for wankers because a 600 or 750 will do nearly everything they do on the street, but how do other bikes compare, like the Yamaha R6 or R1, or the Ninja 600 or 1000, I saw a CBR 900RR smokin joes for $8,500, looked wicked, and can anyone tell me what a stock bike might do down the 1/4 mile? I saw R1's at the drags pull 11's and a couple of 10's. but i think I like the
GSX-R750 the best so far, (even tho a CBR 250RR scared me half to death) So I guess I didn't really have one specific question, just after some input, I dont have any mates that ride you see. And, do u ride? if so what? are you happy or do you want more?

I've rode all kinds of bikes, i currently own a gsx600

larger cc bikes will have the most difference at higher speeds, the rest depends on the driver.
Be a man, Step up to the Kaw XZ1400 and eat all others!!!
You didn't say what kind of riding you are going to be doing. The smaller bikes are better in the twisties and are plenty fast. If you want nothing but sick then, think Hayabusa or ZX-14 (but they are kinda heavy).
Totaly depends on your experience. If you haven't been on a crotch rocket before and hop on a ZX-14 or Hayabusa you're going to get yourself wrapped around a tree or another car within 10 seconds. Even a litre bike is a force- they can do 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds and the 1/4 mile in under 11.4 seconds. They are a lot of fun, but can be too much fun if you don't know how to handle them.
You didnt say how much experience you have but assuming you have some a 600cc would be plenty fast, i assure you of that , ride it a season or two and decide from there. If you disrespect ANY of these bikes they will kill you !
so take it easy and *learn your bike*.
it will always be more capable than you.
Go to a track and you will learn so much more .
good luck, have fun and be safe !
blue/white k6 gsxr 1000 . If god had a sportbike it would be a gixxer 1000
need i say more ? ; )
If a CBR250 RR is scary then a 600 is going to be suicidal. You probably want to start with something like a Suzuki GS500 which has less power but is easy to ride, particularly at lower rpm. (and its still more power than 250)
Get a used one as you may get comfortable with it and decide you need more power (so you dont loose money trading up)
1000 cc bike's are usually for posuers or drag racers as they cannot be ridden to full capabilities (neither can most 600's, show most kids a decent corner and a 50yr old on a 30yr old bike will go round faster, ;o) )
