How to build a stunt resume to show potential sponsors? |
Lets say im already pritty good at stunting and im looking to go as much pro as stunters do what would be the best way to get my stunting resume off the ground such as what events, what kind of sponsors ect. And im talking about closed course, responsible, endangering only my bike and myself stunting. Not out in the open street. Plus i dont need all the sht talk you dont know me. I'm not really aware of Pro level stunt riding on road bikes, but in the dirt world there is Team Red Bull, Team Air Force, etc. that put on exhibitions at MX/SX races. I assume there would be something similar in road riding. You could find out who these teams are, contact them and see what you have to do to try out. Another option is making a video of your stunts and taking it to promoters of any event that might enjoy that type of thing. Maybe a State Fair, a road race event, a drag race, etc. See how much they would be willing to pay you to perform. Once you establish yourself with paying gigs then you can approach sponsors. Unless you already have an established audience sponsors will not give you the time of day. Name: GSX-R, PhD Education: University of Slowzuki College of Head Knocks Objective: To kill myself working for an audience I seek sponsors who will pay my medical bills, past, present, and future. Work Experience: Ridin' my Jixxer up and down my Dad's driveway poppin' wheelies, doin' stoppies, burnouts, and lollipops. I can also do a handstand on my gastank. I can run over myself too by flipping over the handlebars at 90mph and landing in front of my front wheel. Sponsors can put decals on my casts. Personal data: Chicks dig me even though my Johnson got ground down while I was dragging it in a high speed turn. References available upon request. have someone take photos and video's of you doing your stuff so that you can show potential sponsors how good you are. approach some motorcycle dealers, spare parts sellers motorcycle breakers, and small or large local companies. but remmber presentation is the key, always have your bike and riding gear clean and bright and play up to the crowd so that you will be noticed, you may have to offer you services cheep or for free at first but hang in there and it will happen. 38 years of riding and racing Last I heard you didn't know how to shift gears. It's hard to believe that someone can't shift and is a professional stunt rider a month later. You should just go out and ride and quit trying to impress an audience, You'll live longer that way, |
