Boyfriend and motorbike problem, help please a males opinion would be great? |
So my boyfriend has recently become obsessed with getting a motorbike, he usually rides a bike to work (cycling bike) but he claims that he needs to stay back at work longer so when he comes home it will be dark, so he say he needs a motorbike to go to and from work with because it is safer than riding the pushbike. Ok my issue is that he has zero experience riding a motorbike. He has not got a bike license yet and he already bought a bike. The first day he got it he took it for a little ride and he fell off. It was a sunday on a quite street doing like 30km. I am just so worried because he is quite a reckless driver in a car and I dont trust his driving ability. Especially having to drive to and from the city at night in peak hour traffic.I already discussed my feelings with him, I sugested a scooter might be a better option but he wouldnt even consider it, What do I do, I am just worried he will be hurt or worse riding this ridiculous bike. Well, there is no safety difference between a motorcycle and a scooter. You can only hope he will get good at it soon, or if he gets hurt, it will not be bad enough to injure him permanently, but bad enough for him to change his mind about riding motorcycles. Good luck. It sounds like your fears aren't totally unfounded. If he won't get a scooter, maybe you can make sure he wears a helmet? Also, I think he should probably get a bike permit before he rides it on the road again. Alternatively, why doesn't he drive a car to and from work? my son lost his life to one tell him to think about hes mom and how she would feel if she lost him Please dont let him get a scooter...those things are goofy. |
