How excited were you when?????? |
you finally grew a set and jumped your dirtbike for the first time?? for me i started trying to 2 day i got my bike...but the ttr doesnt have much power behind it and florida was going through a freaking drought or something at the time...so the sand on this wee hill was killing me. on top of that it was really rough and there is a sharp turn only about 20 feet ahead when you get up over it, if you dont slow down you go head first into the street - trying to go the other way? good luck cause the hill is all wonky and you just CANT get speed on it. i was all broken heart cause no matter how hard i tried, the bike just wouldnt leave the ground. now sometime i would nearly leave the bike, but ofcourse thats not the same thing :). well then one day i turn my sights to this abandoned cement lump towards the back of the feild. at first jokingly rolling over it "weeee" standing up and moving with the bike...having a grand ol' time (contd) My friend screamed on the scene with a used CR 80. Unlike my XR75 this thing was so ccooooooool looking and sounding! I had to take it out! Messing with the power band I quickly learned the difference between ridding with a shirt and without. If you made the 2 stroke switch you know what i mean. So I'm off to the jump at the end of the long driveway we had. After a 4th gear straight a slight vear to the right would take you up a short 4 footer to a plateau in the neighbors yard and a short 25 ft pad to the 55mph highway dead ahead. ( no pun intended ) Watching the grass a nd rock pass under me the feeling flight and weightlessness was overcome by the low rear wheel making solid contact after an early 20 ft of air time. Remember the length of the landing mentioned earlier.This were the rubber meets the road. Maybe you can imagine the rest by the resulting description. Split rear fender, bent bars, busted radiator-water pump, No skin on arms, legs, back, cheek, fingers, and little to no blood left in my lifeless body!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE TO RIDE!! WHEN IN DOUBT--------------------GAS IT! never had a bike fast |
