If the Government proposed the following to fight "terror," would you accept? |
1. Putting a chip in cell phones and house phones that record every second of usage. 2. Martial Law 3. Access to bank accounts 4. A GPS installed in every car, bike, motorcycle, boat etc. 5. Video cameras installed on every block, in every street in America. Thanks! BTW-Don't call me a weird word for Democrat because i'm not affiliated with any particular party. Look closely around intersections in big cities you will see cameras in place, not always obvious. We already have these measures in effect (except marshal law) thanks to the "patriot" act. Are you scared? That's exactly what the government wants (Terror alerts, orange, red,etc.) The next step IS martial law and could be implemented with a staged/allowed terrorist attack. Sure, go ahead, but give me a few years notice so I can flee the country before the Iron Curtain comes down. 1 is too broad and violate 1st Amendment ---actually, cell phones DO record avery minute of usage (look at your bill) - recording the CONVERSATIONS would be unacceptable 2 is not yet necessary 3 this doesn't make any sense as written 4 doesn't make any sense; however, a GPS in vehicles of persons with proveable connections to terrorist organizsations would be acceptable 5 as long as the cameras are observing public activity, there can be no complaint.
