CPS are not doing their job? |
I'm disgusted!CPS don't do their job as they have to!I usually walk on the street and in parks and I see fat children,little ones and FAT!Their parents are fattenning them and then they walk with hippopotamuses.CPS are so worried about children's childhood.Well,what a childhood is that?!To be an elephant?If they try to ride a bike,the bike will break!Such parents should be taken in prison for at least a day,to leave the child alone at hme and during that time,noone will fatten him/her and he/she may go out and jogging,maybe will lose at least a pound! I know, if a child is obese they're fine with that, but any underweight child (even if it's just the childs body type) will be taken away. The school always called on my mom because my sister and i are both tall and thin so they though we were starving becasue we looked so much thinner than our class mates. That's just how we are. PLus, we were involved in ballet, Soft ball, basket ball and we have horses. Now, I am 20 years old and I still have the same body type (Not so tall though anymore though) I t makes me almost cry when I see the kids who have trouble walking just because The parents cannot tell them no when they want a candy bar. Something needs to be done.When I have children I am anticipating getting calls from CPS because my kids have a big chance of turnig out small because my husband has the same body type as me. you are an idiot I see what you are saying. My 2 year old is under weight and they always blame me for not feeding him. LOL. But he eats like a pig. His treats are usually yogurt and applesauce. He has brain damage and has trouble gaining weight. So, CPS loves to blame me for neglect. I think it's neglect to over feed your kid. When you have kids answer your own question. you cannot control what your children eat because if you do then CPS will say that you are neglecting them. Try not to be so hypocritical in your views. I mean your concerned yet you voice from a stereotypical standpoint. There is a much graver problem with CPS than weight alone and that is child neglect and abuse. More times than none it is overlooked or the child is placed back into the same enviroment where nothing has changed. They spend more time worrying about parents who do not abuse their children when the real children who are being abused are the ones who need their help. - Former child of abuse - Knew a person who used to work for CPS but quit because of their ways I see where you are coming from, you are right, it is a form of abuse when a person lets their child eat until they are overweight, and severely overweight. But I have never seen cps take a chlld for being overweight, but I have seen them take a child for being underweight, they like to label the child as failure to thrive, then they will come and snatch all the kids in the household, and then make the parents jump through hoops to get the kids back. It not fialr, but this is what happened to me, and this is what wil ocnitunue to happen to otehrs until the "Big Wigs" in Washington decide to get off their high horses and do somehting about it! |
