Gift idea for special 2-year old twin boys? |
I need a good gift for twins. They will be turning 2 next month. One of them has cerebral palsy, and has limited use of his left side. The other can move normally. My friend can be seen on any given day pushing TWO ride-on toys down the street while trying to keep her THREE year old son from running into things on his bike. (She's SUPERMOM...I don't know how she does it.) I want to lighten my friend's load a little. Aside from a plain old wagon, are there any nice ride-on toys for two? It would need to have some kind of restraint system, or "bucket" seating so the twin with CP does not fall out. OR...has anybody ever seen a product made to tie two identical ride-ons together (safely...so something engineered for this specific purpose, and not zip ties, duct tape, or rubberbands, please). ;) Any input would be a big help. Well... you can try a variety of two seater pull wagons, if she doesn't mind the 2 year olds trainling behind her as she pulls. OR, she could invest in a Swiss Strolli Rider. She can seat the twin with CP in a regular stroller he is used to, and have the other twin ride along the attached unit. It is suitable for children 15 months and over, and up to 44 pounds. It has a regular seat that can be for the twin with CP, and the other twin can sit in the chair attached to the back part. VERY convenient!!!
