Quick release tires.?

Changing my tires to a more street friendly tread. I have disk brakes and both rims are of coarse quick release. I have no clue how to take the back tire off without screwing up the bike. Can someone walk me through it? The front one seems basic enough. I'm just a bit intimidated by the gears and chain.

alright...

It is easiest if the bike is upside down.

Put the bike in the last gear in the back (smallest). Undo the QR like you would the front. Pull on the cage of the rear derailler up (if bike is upsidedown), and then pull on the wheel. You'll see how it gets around the derailler. Then just lift the chain off the cogs, and you're done!

good luck
First, shift down to the smallest cog in the back. This will loosen up the chain as well as make it easier to get the wheel back on. Flip the bike upside down, open the quick release lever (Just the lever. You don't need to unscrew the nut on the back), and pull the wheel straight up. You may need to pull the chain out of the way with your hand so that the end of the axle doesn't get hung up on it. When you go to put the wheel back on, make sure the chain is on the small cog and everything else should line right up.
