How do stop a 12 year old boy from? |
walking out in to the street w/out looking, I have tried everything, he does stuff like this all the time, we do not let him ride his bike or his 4 wheeler because of this very reason, what can we do? He is a A student in school, its like he does stuff before he thinks about it. Summer break is coming up soon, we are very worried about leaving him at home when we are at work, he does have a older brother, but it is hard for him to watch him at all times. Get him in camp, or see if there is another parent that stays home to help u out, I sent my boys last year and they had a frickn blast... They want to go for the entire summer this year... although money is an issue right there... See if your sister /brother/aunt can take em here and there... along w/his brother.. keep him busy... Good luck... try applying a belt on his butt, when he don't mind his parents. Well i would give him something if he was being good like a new game or something but keep it on a chart Oh dear. I swear I used to do this when I was about his age, until a car stopped and the woman in the car lectured me about walking into the street without looking.....I never did it again! Scared the crap out of me! LOL Boys can just be stubborn like that sometimes...a part of it is that he is still missing the "reasoning" part of his brain...that usually doesnt develope until the adult age of 21...however do you have a grandparent that could watch him during the summer or a daycare near by...most daycares accept children up to 12 years of age... anyways good luck, and God Bless! Next time he does it, ground him or take away something he really likes. He will soon learn everything has consequences don't worry he ll soon be ok. just download some accident videos due to careless walking and show him.... |
