How do you deal with jaywalkers in a diplomatic way? |
I'm in the state of CT and I moved here a few months ago. I've been to a lot of situation wherein people will just walk/cross the street even though their not supposed to and they don't really care that it sometimes hold traffic specially during rush hours. I'm not a fan of using the horn. My boss did it a few months ago and he end up with a big scratch on his car. Apparently, the person has a bike nearby and followed him. Stop for the pedestrian, and if the look at you just wave hello. Rude people are so because they want confrontation. Do not give them the satisfaction of having them make you angry. I would say just chill...not that big of a deal to let it stress you...how many seconds were you really held up?...For you to write a question about it...you must really let little things get under your skin...I would just suggest...take a deep breath...hold...and release...there now...Isn't that better? Don't develop road rage. Remember that God made pedestrians way before he made cars. Try to relax and enjoy your new surroundings. I've heard it's beautiful there, especially in the fall. you dont. diplomacy is for people who lack the means or desire to take care of their problems simply and directly. if youre in a vehicle you can do a lot of damage to a human body. sometimes pedestrians need to be reminded of this. It's much better to wait for jaywalkers than to get in an accident with one. |
