I am a teen why are parents sooooo over-protective? i want parents answers here? |
i am 15 and i live in the suberbs, a good community, there has never been a shooting or a kidnapping ever anywehre around here. Because i am 15 i dont have a permit or a car so when i go out with my friends we ride our bikes. Today i was going to go out to lunch with one of my friends, then across a street to a park to meet another one of my friends at 3 then i have a party across the street at the public library at 5 for volunteering there all summer. All of these locations are within 1/8 of a mile of eachother, the place where we eat is about 1/8 of a mile from the park and the library is inbetween the park and the place where we eat. And this little area is about 2 miles from my house My mom is making me come home inbetween me meeting my friend for lunch and me meeting my other friend at the park just so she can drive me back to the park, Why??? I think I have the truth. Your mom is scared you are going to start seeing a boy and start getting those feeling. Boys can be looking for one thing only (some boys) not all. I think you're a good kid, some times good kids go bad, your mom loves you,she's only taking care of you. Trust me you'll thank her for all she does, girl look where you live. You and your family are OK Trust your mom, trust in God. In this day and time you have crazy people out there who do mean things to children Ask your mom and she will tell you We worry about our children. It's what mother nature intended, and it's just a parent's job. You have to remember, it seems like a scary world out there, and us parents are bombarded with stories of kidnappings, homicides, and sexual assaults. It may seem stiffling, but to your mom you are still a baby, and she just wants to make sure you're okay. It make tick you off now, but someday you will have a daughter and you will want to make sure she is okay 24/7 also! look your mom loves you and you should be greatful even though a lot of kids won't admit it they wish their parents cared that much you have a good mom give her a HUG I am a mother of 7. I know how you feel but it is only out of love . Loving a child is something very special and a parent will do any thing they have to to protect them. thing happen in all kinds of neighborhoods, not just bad ones. They must really love you so go with the flow. Some day you will look back and be very thankful that they cared so much. I know it may seem like your mom is being harsh but listen to me sweetie. Anything can happen within a minute in this world. There a strangers out there and they prowl around looking for young people to attack. Just because you live in the suburbs does not mean that you are safe honey. Your mom loves you and she doesn't want anything bad to happen to her baby. She's a great mother and you are so lucky to have her. God bless you and your wonderful mom Most of the time when parents do anything like this, it's not that they don't trust you, it's that they don't trust what they would have done in that situation. They always say,"I was your age once", but what we don't seem to realize is that you might make different decisions then we would have. Parents are just as crazy as the rest of us sugar. |
