Can I lose 10lbs if i do 20 minutes on a stationary bike and drink lots of water in a month?



I am getting ready to go back to school.

10 lbs is 35,000 calories.

To loose 35,000 calories in 30 days will require a difference of over 1000 calories a day, assuming your weight is stable now.

A better way is to drop your caloric intake by 500 calories a day, and just take a real bike everywhere you go instead of cars and buses; burning about an extra 500 calories a day..

Just drop the sodas and junk food, and ride a bicycle wherever you go. ride about 1.5 hours a day. (it is a lot more fun than a stationary bike) eat fish and good healthy produce.

( I did it and I am a lot older than you, and that makes it harder. over 2 lbs a week)

And keep up the good habits when you get back to school.It really depends on what you eat, excerizing is good, and drinking plenty of water is too, but you got to stay away from the junk food, becuase it can make or break your diet. Try to find healthy substitutes, and you should be good!
Sure, it's possible, but it depends on a lot more than cycling for 20 minutes everyday and drinking lots of water.

Drinking lots of water is not going to make you lose weight, for one, it's just plain healthy for you.

Losing 10 pounds is going to depend on your metabolism, your calorie intake, how many calories you burn on the bike, etc.
No. I advise 60 minutes a day. Watch your diet and of course drink plenty of water. 10 lbs is a lot in one month. Make sure you burn more calories than what you consume.
20 minutes isn't going to do much, you're going to need to restrict calories significantly as well.

Unless you're an elite cyclist, you're not going to burn more than 200 calories in your 20 minutes, probably less. A pound of fat is equivalent to about 3500 calories. To account for 10 lbs of fat by cycling alone, you'd have to go at least 2 hours a day, every day.
